Warp Code Turns AI Agents Into Collaborative Pair-Programming Partners

Warp has launched Warp Code, a new feature suite aimed at bringing transparency and collaboration to AI coding agents. The toolset is designed to resemble pair programming, enabling developers to see every change an AI makes, review diffs, and make live adjustments.

The interface mirrors Warp’s existing design, with a command input field, an AI response panel, and a side panel that shows edits step by step. Developers can highlight code lines for context, make direct changes, and rely on Warp’s compiler to automatically resolve errors. Founder Zach Lloyd said the mission is to help users understand and refine AI output rather than trust it blindly.

The product enters a competitive landscape, with rivals including Cursor, Windsurf, Lovable, and tools from Anthropic and OpenAI. Warp relies on external models but emphasizes usability and control. Despite its small size, the company is scaling quickly with 600,000 active users and $1 million in ARR added every 10 days.
