Google’s AI products are seeing record user growth, CEO Sundar Pichai told investors on the company’s Q2 2025 earnings call. AI Overviews in Google Search, which provides AI-generated summaries of results, now serves 2 billion monthly users in 200 countries and territories, up from 1.5 billion in May.

The company’s Gemini app has expanded to 450 million monthly active users, with daily requests up more than 50% from Q1.

Google also announced a sharp rise in AI processing activity. Monthly token volume has surged to 980 trillion, doubling the 480 trillion reported at its developer conference in May.

Pichai said the momentum reflects strong global adoption of Google’s AI offerings.
